All of you know what happened few days ago - Kobe Bryant had injury and will be out of basketball court for 6-9 months :( I've been reading blogs, news, watched interviews with some retired NBA legends commenting Kobe's injury, Lakers chances to get 8th spot and get into 2013 NBA Playoffs without Kobe... And of course - what will Kobe do in months to come and if he will come back to NBA or retire as one of top 10 players in NBA history... Just like all of them, i got no answers and can only guess that Kobe will come back and play few more seasons and try to make few more career achievements (like passing Michael Jordan on all-time NBA scorers list) but one thing i can say for sure is that i feel deeply sorry for Mamba. I was in a buss, on 19 hours long ride from Germany to my home, when Kobe got injured so i had no idea what's going on for the first day or so... Like many others, i hope Kobe will get better, i wish him best of luck and successful rehab... And that basketball fans all over the World will be able to watch Black Mamba for at least one more season before he ends his NBA career and becomes one of the biggest basketball legends World has ever had :) this wallpaper was made by Oliver Gilbert...

Lots of talking all around Internet and mainstream media was about LA Lakers in last few days... There were few reasons for that: 1. Kobe became 4th NBA league all-time scorer , 2. Lakers retiring Shaq's jersey number and 3. Talks that NBA and referees are helping Lakers to get into 2013 NBA playoffs... Second wallpaper for today is new wallpaper of LeBron James with his quote related to failure: "You have to be able to accept failure to get better"... Somehow this wallpaper fits moment - LeBron was named player of the week and then Heat lost match against Bulls last night which ended their winning streak at 27 won games in row... Mentioning that, 27-wins in row is far from being something we can call a failure, it's 2nd longest streak in NBA history... And if we speaks of it, i personally consider it the longest streak in NBA because LA Lakers streak is from 70s - period i can harldy connect with modern basketball played today (severa years after that record a 3 pts shot was introduced into NBA, just one example of what basketball looked like back then)... Therefore i simply can not consider LA Lakers wining streak a valid one in modern NBA, so in my books this record Heat achieved this year is the longest winning streak in NBA history. And two more things to clarify - i do respect LA Lakers team and their record, in any sport at any level - achieving that long streak is something you have to respect !!! And second, i am not Heat bandwagoner or something similar, i am just writing facts and after all - this streak is worthless unless Heat defend NBA title this year :)
